Once all the players stand the dealer must reveal their hand and play. If their hand is less than 17 they must hit. If the card causes them to go over 21 they go bust and lose. There is no limit to the number of hits a player can take, although the dealer is not allowed additional hits if their hand is over 17.

If you are dealt 2 cards of the same numeric value you may split them to make 2 hands. If you are again dealt the same card of numeric value you may split again. Playing this way increases your chances of beating the dealer as you have more hands playing. If you are unsure of what to split a good rule of thumb is split aces and eights.

After you have seen your cards and think you have a good chance of beating the dealer you can 'double down'. For example you may have a 5 and a 6 in your hand and think you have a good chance of receiving a card to the value of 10. You may bet up to the value of your original bet but you will only receive one card.
